Marconi Award Winning KIHR 1340 AM, covers all of Hood River County in Oregon and part of Klickitat County in the state of Washington from Stevenson to Lyle. The station plays country music and ABC News at the top of the hour. From 6:00AM to 8:00AM Mid-Columbia Mornings features the most comprehensive news and information presentation in the entire Mid-Columbia area. Mid-Columbia Today from 8AM to 9AM, features news makers from both counties and both states. KIHR’s award winning sports announcer, Mark Bailey, broadcasts Hood River Valley High School sports augmented with ESPN baseball in the summer and University of Oregon Duck Football.
