Cricket Country in the Morning with Scott &
Angie…(5AM-10AM)
Scott Schuler has been part of the "Cricket Family" since
1995. Born and raised in the Mid-Valley, the South Albany High graduate
has an extensive knowledge of the history of country music with
a love and appreciation for the classics as well as a fondness for
today's Cricket Country Superstars...many of whom he has friendships
with, or has ripped his pants in front of (ask him about golfing
with the Dixie Chicks.) It has been estimated that Scott has over
200 different character voices and counting. Scott has gained a
popularity with the area listeners second to none.
Angie Foster came on board in 1997...starting
at KRKT as a minor. When you hear Scott and Angie together in the
mornings you quickly understand what makes them the most listened
to radio show in the valley. Angie will tell you that her job is
"community relations." She answers dozens of e-mails each
day, is often asked (and rarely says no) to make appearances at
fund raisers and community events, handles all public service, is
webmistress for KRKT.com, and writes the majority of the "bits"
for Cricket Country in the Morning.
Roger Shannon (10AM - 2PM) Can be heard
from miles away… during the Mid-day show. Helping you get
through out your afternoon! He is allotted a few days off during
the year to attend those most important Oregon State Football games.
Jon Warren (2PM-7PM) Possibly even
more of a Beaver fan than Roger Shannon, Jon Warren has been with
the KRKT crew for more years than he’d like to admit. Jon
is a “sports guy” from way back, and could probably
“Stump the Schwab.” Jon’s personable attitude
is a great addition to KRKT, and listeners look forward now to a
drive home with Jon Warren.
Whitney Allen (7pm to midnight) The
Big Time with Whitney Allen is one of the most entertaining, interactive
syndicated shows on radio today. Whitney involves the listeners
in conversations, interviews with celebrities, and even gets those
celebs to fill in for her when she’s on vacation. Even better,
Whitney’s show is exclusively on KRKT…no other Oregon
station.
