from Gold Beach,
Oregon in the north, to Eureka, California in the south. For FM

Format and Listeners
KPOD FM saturates the audience with a mix of Hot Country (Carrie
Underwood, Josh
Turner and Sugarland) and All American Country Favorites (Alabama,
George Strait and
Garth Brooks). This fits the make up of our young retirees to hard
working/hard playing
ranchers, bulb growers, fishermen, loggers and Correctional Officers
at Pelican Bay State
Prison like a glove. KPOD FM is also the EXCLUSIVE voice of our
local High School
Sports Program with LIVE broadcasts of all home and away games.
News, Weather and Features
KPOD FM carries ABC news at the top of the hour and Paul Harvey’s
News and
Comments, plus “The Rest of the Story” each day. The
‘Half Past Weather Cast’ airs each
hour and KPOD FM is the audio source for Charter Communication’s
Public Access
Television Station, Channel 4. This enables us to keep tourists,
as well as local listeners,
up to date on events and matters of public interest in the Tri-County
